Ukraine said it attacked a production unit of the Roscosmos space agency as it continued strikes at military and related infrastructure deep within Russia.

In the Samara region, some 900 kilometers (560 miles) from Ukraine’s border, Flamingo missiles hit the Progress Rocket and Space Center, “involved, among other things, in electronics production,” Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on social media. “Our plan of long-range sanctions against Russia for this war is being carried out.”

Local authorities earlier reported a missile attack at an unspecified industrial enterprise. Information on damage and casualties was being assessed, and those wounded received medical treatment.

Zelenskyy also claimed a strike on the Savasleyka airbase in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region, about 300 km east of Moscow and more than 950 km northeast of Kyiv. The facility, a base for various Russian fighter jets, has been struck by Ukrainian drones over the past two years.
