Hinge Health Inc. expects to make more acquisitions, particularly in hardware, as part of a push to automate healthcare and expand beyond its core business of digital physical-therapy service.

The digital health company, whose share price has tripled since it went public last year, is planning to use deals along with internal research and development to find new avenues for growth, Chief Executive Officer Daniel Perez said Wednesday in an interview with Bloomberg News.

Hinge is particularly interested in hardware that can augment virtual care. It already has one device, a small wearable block called Enso, intended to relieve pain with electrical pulses.

“Too many digital health companies shy away from hardware,” Perez said. Hinge is fielding two or three inquiries per week from digital health companies looking to sell themselves, he said.

San Francisco-based Hinge built a digital service for physical therapy that combines app-based exercises with virtual support from clinicians. The company said the service reduces “human care team hours” by about 95% compared to traditional physical therapy.

Hinge expects revenue to grow about 46% this year to roughly $858 million. It’s targeting ongoing revenue growth of 20% or more annually and operating profit margin of at least 35%, according to an investor day presentation. In its most recent quarter , operating margin was 29% after excluding some items.

The company recently agreed to purchase Cylinder Health, which focuses on digestive health, for $105 million in cash. Hinge this year also started a program for migraine care as it expands beyond musculoskeletal care.

Its stock has gained more than 200% since its May 2025 IPO, outpacing the the advance of the Russell 2000 Health Care Index. Its market capitalization stands at around $8 billion.
