David Ouellet, technology chief for the Public Sector Pension Investment Board, is leaving the Canadian manager, adding to a list of high-profile exits in the past two years.
Chief Risk Officer Alexandre Roy will take on Ouellet’s role — chief technology, data and operations officer — on an interim basis, the pension said Friday, confirming Bloomberg’s earlier reporting.
“We express sincere gratitude to David for his significant contributions to PSP over the years,” said a spokesperson for the pension, which oversees C$321 billion ($225 billion) of assets. “He has played an important role in shaping PSP’s evolution.”
Several executives and senior managers have left PSP over the past two years, including Chief Investment Officer Eduard van Gelderen, Chief Financial and Risk Officer Jean-Francois Bureau and Patrick Samson, who was the fund’s global head of real assets investments.
Ouellet joined the pension fund manager in 2012 and held a number of roles, including head of strategic and business planning, according to his LinkedIn profile .
