Authorities will also implement a support program for university graduates and other young people, as well as a plan to improve job quality for flexible workers and workers in new forms of employment.

China will study measures to boost employment through the services sector, while seeking to stabilize jobs in labor-intensive industries and create new employment opportunities in emerging and future industries, officials said.

Basic pension insurance covered 1.079 billion people as of the end of September. Unemployment insurance covered 251 million people, while work-injury insurance, including occupational-injury protection, covered 327 million.
