OpenAI said Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser would be stepping down to pursue other opportunities, less than a year after she joined the artificial-intelligence company.
Dresser will be succeeded by Dali Rajic. During the interim transition period, Dresser will work closely with the business team to support customers, the company said Thursday.
Dresser is the latest senior OpenAI executive to leave the company, following the departure earlier this week of Brad Lightcap, the company's former chief operating officer. Fidji Simo, once OpenAI's second in command, told staff in July that she would leave her full-time role after a medical condition worsened.
The former CEO of Slack, Dresser was tasked with growing sales among large businesses looking to adopt artificial-intelligence tools in their workforces.
"Denise has led our revenue organization through a formative period for the business and has worked tirelessly to get the team to where it is today," said Greg Brockman, president and co-founder.
"The way we're deploying this technology is changing rapidly, and Dali will turn what we've learned into repeatable execution as we build out the full system to make AI broadly useful for people and businesses," he added.
Brockman has taken on a more public role in recent months at the company, playing a role in its efforts to catch rival Anthropic in growing its revenue from business customers. Both companies are planning public listings, with Anthropic's expected in the coming months.
OpenAI has sought to engineer a comeback after losing its lead atop the AI race.
Rajic has experience overseeing global organizations, as well as selling to both large enterprises and technical customers, OpenAI said. He most recently served as president and chief operating officer of Wiz, and before that, held executive roles at companies including Zscaler and AppDynamics.
