Crypto exchange operator OKX has raised new funding at a $25 billion valuation, drawing fresh capital from existing partners and the hedge fund Qube Research & Technologies.
Circle Internet Group Inc., Ripple and Standard Chartered Plc’s investment arm SC Ventures all participated in the fundraise, OKX said in a press release. The company declined to say how much it raised, but it is an extension of a round in March, when New York Stock Exchange parent Intercontinental Exchange Inc. put roughly $200 million into the crypto giant at the same valuation.
The fundraise “focuses on strengthening OKX’s long-term market infrastructure,” said Haider Rafique, global managing partner at OKX, in an emailed statement.
QRT’s involvement marks another move deeper into the digital-asset space for the London-based hedge fund, which spun out of Credit Suisse Group in 2018. The firm has invested in Tread.fi, a provider of algorithmic trading technology, and operates Moebius, a crypto-focused fund with about $1 billion in assets as of 2025. QRT is also recruiting for roles in digital assets, according to its website .
“QRT’s investment reflects our confidence in OKX and the long-term growth of digital assets and 24/7 markets,” Thomas Eaton, quantitative trading director at the hedge fund, said in a statement.
Over the past year, Wall Street has increasingly aligned itself with crypto’s largest players. Since ICE took a stake in OKX, the two companies have together developed a platform for trading tokenized stocks, or digital representations of equities on a blockchain.
Their joint venture, OKXICE LLC, announced Monday that it is seeking approval to sell tokenized stocks of 63 public companies in the US, including Nvidia Corp., Apple Inc. and Coca-Cola Co. They would be offered under the Securities and Exchange Commission’s five-year innovation exemption, announced last month , to allow tokenized stocks to trade in the US provided they have equivalent rights as traditional shares.
